The Hank Greenberg award is presented to an athlete who has distinguished him- or herself with a successful career primarily in Northern California.

The Mensch award is presented to an athlete not of the Jewish faith. He or she must be someone who exemplifies the qualities of generosity, accomplishment, and community service that is expected from a leader of the Jewish community.
